Description:

Meat Machine Ensemble Theatre is holding auditions for Phedre.

Synopsis:
Jean Racine's classic and gripping telling of Phedre delves into the human psyche, exploring the tumultuous emotions of its characters. Set in ancient Greece, during a time of political turmoil, the play tells the story of Phedre, who is consumed by a forbidden love for her stepson, Hippolytus. As her secret passion comes to light, it sets off a chain of events marked by jealousy, deceit, and ultimately, tragedy.
