Description:

Steel Beam Theatre (St. Charles, IL) is seeking volunteer actors who are talented at critically understanding a text, and who are eager to bring their creative ideas to the table! This unique performance will include music, foley, and other immersive elements co-created with the director and cast.

ALSO SEEKING: PAID - 3-piece folk band, singers and/or instrumentalists, one of whom will double as the murderess MINNIE WRIGHT (speaking role). Stipend: $100 each. (Will be increased to $150 if the run is extended.)

It is 1916. Farmer John Wright is murdered - strangled to death - in the middle of the night with his wife sound asleep at his side. John's withdrawn and timid wife, Minnie, claims an intruder broke in and committed the horrible deed. Unconvinced by this version of events, the sheriff, county attorney and her neighbors visit the farm looking for evidence, seeking to prove Minnie's guilt.

But inside this eerie farmhouse, Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hale discover grisly truths about Minnie's marriage. Truths that they may not want to reveal... even though their own husbands are responsible for solving the crime.
