Village Theatre Guild announces auditions for the first show of their upcoming season, "Dr. Cook's Garden" by Ira Levin.
In the Vermont village of Greenfield Center, lives the genial, benevolent, and greatly loved old physician, Dr. Cook, who is very proud of his award-winning garden and his community. When former resident and new doctor, Jim Tennyson arrives to visit his mentor, the two become pitted against each other over a matter of medical ethics. Their ultimate reactions to this dilemma provide the audience with some unforgettable, breath-stopping suspense-filled moments. By the author of "Deathtrap," "The Stepford Wives," and "Rosemary's Baby," Ira Levin's story will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Auditions will be held at Village Theatre Guild on Sunday, August 18 @ 7pm and Tuesday, August 20 @ 7pm. You need only attend one of these dates. Invited callbacks, if necessary, will be on Wednesday, August 21 @ 7 pm.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No monologues are necessary. Appointments are not required to audition. This is a non-equity, non-pay audition. There are five roles available. (3M, 2F)
The production will run for 12 performances between October 18 and November 3. Jody Vogel is directing, and Dave Dolnics is producing.
