Redtwist Theatre is seeking Understudy for Doctor Emma Brookner in Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, directed by Ted Hoerl.
The Normal Heart will run July 21-August 25.
Dr. Emma Brookner: 30s or 40s, Fem Presenting.
Dr Brookner is a leading doctor in the fight against the AIDS epidemic during the initial outbreak in the 80s. This character is wheelchair bound due to childhood illness.
Please note as Dr Brookner is a character with a disability Redtwist strongly prefers to engage a member of the community. Redtwist is prioritizing casting an actor with a disability for this role.
Understudies receive two guaranteed performances on August 4th and 15th and a $100 stipend.
Understudies are asked to attend one rehearsal a week, tech, and a preview.
