Description:

Sandbox Theatre Collective is seeking queer actors for a World Premiere musical workshop, written by Shualee Cook and directed by Hayley Procacci. The piece is based on Elsa Gidlow's 1923 poetry collection, On a Grey Thread - one of the first books published in the U.S to contain openly sapphic verse.

Sandbox Theatre Collective is looking for actors from diverse backgrounds with a wide variety of singing styles. Ability to play musical instruments is encouraged but not required. Actors should be comfortable playing both themselves and historical characters.

AUDITION INFORMATION:
Where: Women and Children's First Bookstore (5322 N. Clark St. 60640) When: Friday, May 3rd, 2024 from 7-10PM (Doors open at 6:45PM)

The audition will begin with a 30-minute group devising workshop. Following the workshop, all actors invited to attend audition will be given 10-minute audition slots. All artists should make arrangements to stay for the entirety of the audition (7-10PM).
