Janus Theatre Company sets off its 26th season seeking actors for its summer production of Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus.
All roles are open. Directed and produced by Sean Hargadon. There is a small stipend.
WHEN: Saturday, April 13 at 1pm. Sunday, April 14 at 1pm. Actors attend one day.
WHERE: Elgin Art Showcase, 164 Division Street, Elgin, IL, 60124 - 8th floor
WHAT: Open Call. No appointment is necessary. Actors will be seen in order of arrival.
Seeking 10 women, ranging in age from 20s - 60s. All ethnicities welcome, including native, non-white, and white actors. These roles feature movement and collaborative performers. Auditions will consist of cold readings. Headshot and resume are optional.
Rehearsals will be conducted in Elgin. They will begin in late April running four dates per week. Will increase closer to opening. Performance dates: June 6-16, 2024: Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees. No performance on Sunday, June 18. Performances will take place at the Elgin Art Showcase, 164 Division Street, downtown Elgin.
