DESCRIPTION
In Sartre's play "No Exit," three strangers find themselves locked in a small room in hell. The characters slowly come to realize that their afterlife does not involve the tortures they predicted, but some far more insidious. The play explores themes of existentialism, the human condition, and the nature of interpersonal relationships as the characters struggle to come to terms with their fate and their past actions.

CHARACTERS
Garcin - male/masc, 30s-50s - a middle aged man who sees himself as a brave rebel and nonconformist, but his cowardly nature is eventually exposed. This role will include some fight and intimacy choreography, including shoving, kissing, and embracing.

Inez - female/femme, 30-50s - a lesbian woman who is open about her moral failings and tendency to manipulate. She is blunt, abrasive, and fiercely independent. This role will include some fight choreography, including stabbing/being stabbed and being shoved.

Estelle - female/femme, 20s-40s a wealthy socialite who relies on her looks to manipulate others; she is vain, shallow, and desperate for attention. This role will include some intimacy choreography, including kissing and embracing.

Valet - no gender or age specified - this character works in hell and brings the three characters to the room. This role involves no fight or intimacy choreography

Actors of all genders, sizes, races, ethnicities, and abilities are welcome to apply. This production will have a violence/intimacy designer.

Pay: $300 stipend

Actors must pass a basic background check.

Video auditions will be accepted until April 19th. Callbacks will be on April 28th for The InterPlays and May 1st (5:30-10PM) for No Exit, and performers will be notified if they've received a callback by April 22nd.
