Description:
AlphaBet Soup Productions, Professional TYA, is seeking actors for our 2023-24 Season! Productions include: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus (Oct-Jan), The Christmas That Almost Wasn't (Nov-Dec), James and the Giant Peach (Jan-Mar) and Alice in Wonderland (Apr-Jul).
The majority of our performances are weekday mornings at 10:30am and occasional Saturdays, so daytime availability is a must. Having your own transportation is encouraged but not required. Shows typically rehearse for 8-10 days from 9a-3p at the ABS Production Office in Lombard. Performances will be held at various venues throughout the Chicagoland area including: Tivoli Theatre (Downers Grove), Jedlicka Performing Arts Center (Cicero), Philip Lynch Theatre (Romeoville), Menker Theatre (Palos Hills) etc.
Seeking adult professional actors/singers of all types. No performers under 18 are being seen at this time.
All positions are paid (rehearsal stipend + per show pay)
AUDITION DATE:
Thurs. August 3, 2023 (11-4p) at the ABS Production Office (309 S Westmore-Meyers Rd. Lombard, IL)
Rehearsals: 8-10 days at the ABS Production Office (generally two weeks prior to opening)
Tech: 2 days prior to the first performance at the Menker Theatre (Palos Hills)

Please prepare a 1 minute monologue and 16-32 bars of a song (to be sung acapella). Sides will be given to read at the audition as well. Please bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume.
