Description:

Jane: Abortion and the Underground by Paula Kamen is a docudrama about the "Jane" collective in the 60s and 70s who helped over 10,000 women receive illegal but safe abortions in Chicago, never having lost a patient.

This production will have an intimacy designer to support the scenes where the procedure is performed.

There is a base stipend of $100 for this role. In addition to the base stipend, Idle Muse operates under a shareholder model, in which a full 50% of box office revenue is reserved and divided evenly among the cast and production team.

We are accepting video submissions for the roles of MICKI and LORY:

MICKI: Black, early 20s.

Additional roles to the MICKI track include: RADICAL WOMAN/CALLER 2/PATIENT #3 & #9. The majority of the actors in the cast will be playing multiple parts, including patients who receive the treatment. PLEASE NOTE: One of the patient roles requires intimacy choreography.

LORY: Actor of Color, 18-20s
