Description:
Luigi Ricchio local agency producer is looking for actors in preparation of his first feature film The Alien. All roles will pay 200 dollars per day. Film set to shoot in Chicago this fall. Auditions will take place on August 5th and 6th from 9am to 5pm.
The Alien is a touching coming of age story about a young man who grew up in group homes and now works at a youth center. He begins to have dreams about his mother who died when he was very young as well as the abusive conditions he endured growing up in the system. He is presented with an incredible opportunity that will dramatically change the trajectory of as well as uproot his life, just as he is experiencing love and what it's like to have a real family for the first time.
Characters
Joe: 25 y/o white man. Scruffy Do gooder who is afraid to be pushed outside of his comfort zone.
Seema: 25 y/o Indian/Pakistani woman. Successful chef who falls in love with Joe, sees the best in him and pushes him to pursue his dreams.
Kyle: 30 y/o white man. College friend of Joe who encourages him to pursue his dreams.
Antonio: 25 y/o open ethnicity. Grew up with Joe in the system. Wants to get Joe a job where he works, does not want to see him leave.
Carl: 50 y/o black man. Joe's mentor who befriended him while he was working at the group home Joe was living at. He basically adopted Joe as part of his family. Tough as nails but has a heart of gold.
Don: 50 y/o white man: Supervisor at group home. Brooding angry man. Likely bullied himself who takes his rage out on the young kids he is supposed to protect
Stacy: 40 y/o open ethnicity: professional working woman who loves her kids greatly and sees something in Joe that makes her encourage him to pursue a scholarship opportunity. Also a booster at her alma mater
Francesca: 30 y/o white woman: Joe's mom who is seen in flashbacks and is remembered as perfect the way a 5 year old who lost a parent would.
Marge:50 y/o open ethnicity. Joe's boss. Maternal figure in Joe's life is always ribbing him but clearly thinks the world of him.
