Kerfuffle, a theatre and dance company for very young children, is seeking an Understudy for three roles in a remounted production of The Conductors, a highly nonverbal, physical play for children ages 2-6 years old and their families. Filled with live music and audience interaction, the play will be presented outdoors with Night Out in the Parks at six parks throughout Chicago this August.

The original cast is returning for the remounted production and Kerfuffle is seeking an actor with musical abilities to serve as an Understudy for this production, as well as future remounts. The ideal candidate is interested in non-traditional and adventurous, outdoor theatre for children. The performers tell the story mostly through movement/physicality and live music. Prior experience or interest in working with very young children and/or devising is preferred, but not required.

Kerfuffle encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, and experiences, as well as performers with disabilities, to audition.

Pay: $400 stipend + $50 per performance
