Lifeline Theatre is accepting video auditions for their upcoming production of Cat's Cradle, based on the novel by Kurt Vonnegut, adapted by John Hildreth, and directed by Heather Currie. This is a non-union production.
About the show:
John Hildreth's adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle (1963) is satirical science fiction. Set in the mid-20th century, it tells the story of the creation of a deadly weapon that could destroy the whole world. It satirizes science and technology, the nuclear arms race, and religion.

Actors will receive materials upon submission. They will consist of 1-2 sides per track, and a short cut of a favorite childhood song.
Pay: $485 rehearsal stipend, $25 per show
First Rehearsal: July 16th, 2023
Rehearsals will be 4-5 days a week on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons, depending on actors' schedules.
Tech: August 25th - September 1st, 2023
Previews: September 1st-10th, 2023
Opening Night: Monday, September 11th, 2023
Performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons
Closing Performance: October 22nd, 2023
Maximum Possible Extension: November 12th 2023
