Description:

Based on the 1984 film.... Footloose celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness. The musical that brought you famous songs such as Holding Out For a Hero, Let's Hear It for the Boy, and Footloose, will leave you kicking off your Sunday shoes and cutting loose!

All auditionees must be High School age or older.

AUDITIONS
VOCAL - ALL ROLES: Monday, 5/22 @ 7PM
DANCE - TEEN/DANCER ROLES ONLY: Wednesday 5/24 @ 7PM *** Please note, teen/dancer roles are not limited to just High Schoolers. All who wish to audition will be considered.

Please arrive a 15 minutes prior to your audition slot to fill out an audition form.

Vocal Audition: Be prepared to sing a song (not exceeding 32 bars) from the show, sung by a character you would like to audition for OR that's in your vocal range. An accompanist with the Footloose score will be provided.

Dance Audition: Be prepared to learn a combo and dance with proper dance attire. Each dance slot will be groups of 15 and will last approximately 30 minutes.

***If you cannot attend auditions, video submissions can be uploaded to google drive (sharing options turned ON) or Youtube and sent to Laura Hilger at laurarosehilger@gmail.com with the title "FOOTLOOSE AUDITION [your name]" by May 24. You will receive a confirmation email once it reaches the production team. If you are auditioning for an adult role, we do not need a sample video of your dancing. If you are auditioning for a teen role, please include a sample video of you dancing.

An occasional dance Sunday will be thrown in the schedule due to how much dancing is in this Musical.

COME WITH A LIST OF YOUR CONFLICTS. We cannot cast those with multiple conflicts, or conflicts during tech week through performance dates.
