AstonRep is holding virtual auditions for their final production of The Language Archive, by Julia Cho. Directed by company member, Dana Anderson. Casting two principal tracks, Alta and Resten.

About the play: One linguist is determined to save languages before they die out permanently. This play is about people searching for connections and fulfillment when their words are not enough.

Characters
Alta - female-identifying, person of color, reads 30+ - A woman who has been married to Resten for a long time. She is one of the two last known speakers of the fictional language Elloway. While there are comedic moments, the character is grounded and sincere. Because the actor will play some additional ensemble roles, we are looking beyond the age range listed in the script. Dialect work is a plus.
