Theatre L'Acadie is seeking 6 actors & 3 Understudies for their upcoming production of If This is the End by Melanie Coffey, directed by Brandii Champagne. Understudy time commitment includes an open rehearsal policy, and two scheduled rehearsals per week.

ABOUT THE PLAY:
Keeley has two constants in her life, her best friend/roommate Francis and her nightly chats with the moon. Struggling with the hardships of being an environmental scientist with a planet full of people that don't believe her or don't care, Keeley asks the moon for help. And so the moon falls to earth as a beautiful woman, Mo, but with the intent on protecting her planet from the pests called human beings. Met with immediate and extreme global disturbances upon Mo's arrival and her refusal to return to space, Keeley and Francis embark with her on a destinationless journey, sharing stories with both each other and travelers on what is important to them - and better yet, the planet. But celestial beings don't fit well in human bodies, and Mo's time, as well as the planet's, is running out.

CASTING BREAKDOWN

Keeley - she/her - late 20s. An environmental scientist, analytical, and burned out. In love with the moon as the celestial body in space

Francis - she or they - late 20s. A marine biologist, hopeful. In love with the woman who's in love with the moon.

Mo - open gender - ageless. The moon. She used to be the rock sphere in space but now is a beautiful woman on earth.

Lili, Sally, Abby - helpful, loving / accepting (ENSEMBLE ROLE)
