The Kirkwood Players is holding auditions for William Gibson's riveting account of Helen Keller's journey toward unlocking her intelligent mind through language, under the instruction of the extraordinary teacher, Annie Sullivan. Based on Hellen Keller's autobiography, this incredibly well-written play went on to win multiple Tony Awards including Best Play and Best Performance by a Leading Actress. Find your opportunity to play one of many tenacious characters in a powerful story.
Auditions
Sunday, February 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and Monday, February 27th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at Westchester Community Church, 1840 Westchester Blvd, Westchester, IL 60154.
This is an Open Call Audition. There are no reserved timeslots. Actors are welcome to show up at any point within the timeframes provided.
Roles are available for children, teens, adults of all ages, all ethnicities, and deaf/HoH actors. Click on the link in the Contact section to see the full list of roles.
A monologue is not required but welcome if you have one prepared. Please come prepared with possible scheduling conflicts.
Rehearsals: Sun, Tues, Wed, Sat @ Westchester Community Church *Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. If cast as Annie or Helen, plan to attend all 4 rehearsals per week. Most actors will be called for Sunday rehearsals.
Performances: April 28th to May 7th (7:00pm Fri/Sat evenings | 3:00pm Sun afternoons) @ Oakbrook Terrace Heritage Center, 1S325 Ardmore Ave, Villa Park, IL 60181
