Description:
Oil Lamp Theater is seeking submissions for its production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. Jay Pastucha will direct and Jake Hartge will music direct. The production will run May 18-July 2 with performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (7:30pm) and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays (3pm).
Description: I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a witty musical revue that tackles modern love in all its forms: from the perils and pitfalls of the first date to marriage, children, and the twilight years of life. Set in the modern world and told in a series of vignettes and songs, it traces the overall arc of relationships throughout the course of a life.
Auditions: Auditions will be Sunday, January 15 from 7:00-10:00pm. They will be held at the theater which is located at 1723 Glenview Road, Glenview, IL.
Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held on Sunday, January 22 beginning at 7:00pm.
Seeking:
2 male identifying actors for: Man #1 and Man #2
2 female identifying actors for: Woman #1 and Woman #2
2 male identifying & 2 female identifying actors for understudy roles
All cast members must be excellent singers and strong actors. Basic movement is required. Cast members must be comfortable briefly appearing on stage in their underclothes and with basic intimacy (hugging, kissing).
Pay: $1000 main cast - $500 understudies
Rehearsals: Begin Monday, March 20 and are typically held from 7:00-10:00pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and 10:00am-1:00pm on Saturdays until tech which begins on Saturday, May 13.
Tech/Dress: Saturday, May 13, 10-5pm; Sunday, May 14, 10-5pm; Monday, May 15, 6-10:30; Tuesday, May 16, 6-10:30; Wednesday, May 17, 6-10:30.
Performances: May 18-July 2: Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings (7:30). Saturday & Sunday Matinees @ 3pm.
