Description:

The Artistic Home is seeking understudies for the following roles for their upcoming production of Malapert Love, a queer romcom told in the style of Shakespeare, by Siah Berlatsky.

Skip (he/they): a young stable hand who has exceptional language, poetry and painting skills. Madly in love with the Count. Comedic timing a must. Lots of energy. Stage combat skills a plus.

Lorca (she/they) : the greatest fighter in all the land who quietly pines for the Lady Gabriella. Strong physical presence. Stage combat skills a plus.

Count Montoya (he/him): the richest man in all the play and also potentially the stupidest. Comedic timing both physical and verbal required. Stage combat skills a plus.

There is a stipend plus performance pay if you go on in the role.
