Man And Moon by Siena Marilyn Ledger: Seeking an understudy for the role of Aaron, a trans man, any race, 25-40 years old. BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and non-binary artists strongly encouraged to apply.
Rehearsals Sept 18-Oct 18, previews Oct 19&20, Performances Oct 21-Nov 13, 2022 in Oak Park. Understudies will have rehearsal attendance requirements. Three performances guaranteed during the run; plus two or more Outreach Tour performances at $100 additonal stipend per Outreach performance. Travel stipend available.
Show description: Aaron, a transitioning man, meets Luna, a twelve-year-old girl with a deep passion for outer space, in the waiting room of a hospital's Oncology Unit. Together they learn how to wait-each navigating their own changing bodies and lives as they fit within the context of space and time. Over games of Go Fish, Aaron and Luna share with each other their dreams and fears, their humor, and their heart. In this new work, playwright Siena Marilyn Ledger takes us on a journey through the solar system without ever leaving the theatre.
Pay: $700 plus travel stipend
