Walnut Street Theatre's Professional Apprentice Program provides a training ground for early career professionals to bridge the gap between education and the professional world. It provides hands-on experience working alongside professionals in a specific, concentrated area. The program is designed to provide a season of intensive education and work experience in one of several aspects of theatre operation.

APPRENTICES RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP STIPEND OF $500 PER WEEK TO ASSIST WITH PERSONAL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATION.

WST Acting apprentices serve as our Touring Outreach company performing short plays for hundreds of schools in the greater Philadelphia area on subjects such as Social Emotional Learning and Bullying. Acting apprentices also receive an understudy assignment for a show on our historic mainstage, earning EMC points.

Applicants who advance through the screening portion of the application will be asked to attend an in-person audition on September 17, 2022.
