Description:
I have a new play entered in the Midtown International Theater Festival this summer.
I am looking for two very specific and different kinds of actors.
1. Male, 60s, White. Preferably British (or can do believable British accent). Think Ricky Gervais but older.
2. Female, 34, Asian. Preferably Chinese. Must be able to believably speak some Chinese and speak English with a slight Chinese accent. This character is naive for her age, but very strong willed.
The story is about the relationship between these two very different people from different cultures and generations and how their needs intersect and diverge.
The play will have 6 performances during the festival and it is a wonderful script written by a very talented writer. For sides and more info, please email.
Auditions will be held by appointment only from the end of April to early May. Rehearsals will begin upon casting. Show will run in mid/late July. Please send headshots and resumes to address provided. This is non-union only please and there is no pay, but if the show is financially successful, there may be a modest stipend. DVD copies of the performance can be provided as well.
Thanks!
