Description:
Bring Your Own Theatre(BYOT) is Chicago's longest running 24 hour theatre company. Our platform is for anyone and everyone to come and create live theatre with a supportive and collaborative group, regardless of experience level. Our traditional 24 hour shows bring together five writers and directors, and a group of actors to create, rehearse and perform five original new plays - all in 24 hours!
"Best of BYOT" is just that, a curated collection of 10 original short plays that we feel exemplify the very best of what we do. Through the BOBYOT process, we take plays that were originally conceived in a day, and give them a longer process, allowing our casts and creative team to really dig into the pieces.

All cast and crew must be fully vaccinated.
BYOT has a zero-tolerance harassment policy. You will be required to sign our company's Talent Release form along with our Code of Conduct. BYOT also utilizes policies outlined in the Not In Our House/The Chicago Theatre Standards.
Important Dates:
Auditions: We will be accepting open self tape submissions from Sunday August 28th to Saturday September 10th.
Callbacks: In-person callbacks will be held at Cornservatory on Tuesday September 13th.
Show: We will look to hold a Technical rehearsal and Dress Rehearsal between November 6-9th. BOBYOT will run from Thursday November 10 through Saturday November 12th.
Directors will work with Actors to schedule rehearsals between September 18th and November 5th.
Callbacks will be held the evening of September 13th at Cornservatory.
Tech: November 6th, with Dress Rehearsal 8th.
Production Dates: November 10th - 12th.
Tech, Dress and Performances will be held at The Cornservatory(4210 N Lincoln Ave).
