Possibilities Theatre Company is seeking actors for an upcoming Workshopped Production of NOT AS I DO by Therese Harrold.

Possibilities Theatre Company aims to amplify voices that have historically been silenced by giving people a stage on which to tell their stories authentically. We are a community of artists who take risks and act with love. We strongly welcome performers of varying sizes, abilities, gender-expressions and identities, and racial and ethnic-identities to submit.

Teenage angst rivals a mid-life crisis, and attempts to conquer. Sidestepping her divorced parents' custody battle, Sugar, an adrift, belligerent teen, unwittingly chooses free-spirit, Aunt Flo, as her legal guardian, even though Flo, recently divorced, middle-aged and disillusioned, is in need of a guardian of her own.

Roles Available:

FLO - Late 50's divorced woman who is being forced out of her job and into early retirement; desperately searching for ways to live it up now that life has let her down.

SUGAR - Flo's great niece, 16, at odds with parents, tempted to stray, until her Aunt's need for discipline compels her to behave another way.

BLAIR - Flo's friend, a hair stylist, free, wild, whose companionship influences, encourages Flo's unscrupulous behavior.

STEVEN - Flo's male-friend; a fun-loving ladies' man who feeds into Flo's angst and desire to grab for all the gusto in life one can, without thinking much about it.

RANDY - A friend of Sugar, a self-proclaimed "cool head" who fancies himself as her lover, her boyfriend, her soul mate, more than she cares or needs for him to be.

STACEY - Bartender at a drinking establishment Flo and Steven frequent.

CHARRISE - A client of Blair's.

LAWYER - Rosalind and Warren's legal representation.
