Play Synopsis
Years after a tragic loss, five friends gather again to tell stories and jokes. Old feelings emerge while others are pushed down. They attempt, with varying degrees of success, to move forward.

Character Breakdown

AMELIA: female-identifying, mid 20s, science teacher. Rational about the big stuff - the little stuff, not as much. Indecisive and perceptive. Very protective of her brother Cole. Fear.

EMERIN: male-identifying, mid 20s. Wants to write songs. Caring, but speaks before thinking and accidentally self-absorbed. Used to be best friends with Cole. They're still friends, but not as close. Anger.

LEXI: female-identifying, mid 20s, optimistic. Wildly creative and artistic. Impulsive. Deeply into romance (the joyful parts). Prefers to deal with things by not dealing with them. Has a little bit of a chaotic side. Independent. Denial.

COLE: male-identifying, mid 20s, Amelia's brother, aimless. Dark sense of humor that masks his morbid thoughts. Used to be passionate, but somehow has lost his way. Depression.

BEN: male-identifying, mid 20s. Rational about the small stuff - the big stuff, not as much. Deeply into romance (the sad parts). A little anal. Tries to be funny - sometimes succeeds. Has recently come back from a trip to "find himself." Bargaining.
