Synopsis:A coming of age, against all odds, love story that follows the lives of two young teens, unalike from one another, as they endure some of life’s hardest lessons and discover the real truth behind the old saying “Money Doesn’t Always Bring Happiness”
The adventure takes off when D.J. and Danielle get paired up for a group project in their shared Public Speaking dual enrollment class. But what starts of as an idea for the group project soon develops into a tangible, real-life invention called “HyperSky”; a software program that allows people to have their own unique map/portal of the Virtual World, the Internet. Light hilarity ensues and an amorous bond is formed as the two teenagers go about trying to make their creation a reality. But utter betrayal lurks the shadows and threatens to break that amorous bond forcing the adolescents to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving drama.
Breakdown:
Role Name | Gender | Ethnicity | Age Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Male Lead: D.J. | Male | Caucasian | 18-24 | D.J. is an ambitious young man who is very wise beyond his years. He is a high school senior who has shaped a poor relationship with his father since the passing of his mother due to cancer. He acts as parental figure to his younger siblings because he sees his father as someone who is unstable and is inadequate to raise children. |
Female Lead:Danielle | Female | Caucasian | 18-24 | Danielle is also a high school senior but a bit of a wild child and portrays rebellious behavior towards her conservative upbringing and dislikes how her family is all involved in government having all held or holding government positions. |
Thomas | Male | Caucasian | 25-30 | Thomas is the older brother of Danielle and his characteristics resemble those from fox in the short story the “Fox and the Hen”. Just like how the fox uses his charm and charisma to allude and distract the hen from his true intentions, Thomas uses his good looks and successful business back ground as a cover up to hide his inner agenda which is driven by greed. Although Thomas is supposed to reflect the villainous character in this film, he himself is unaware that his actions are in the wrong. “The road to hell is paved with good intentions” |
Jesse | Female | Caucasian | 31-40 | Mother of D.J. |
Don | Male | Caucasian | 31-40 | Comedic friend of Jesse, adds light humor to the film |
