Violet Surprise Theatre announces auditions for "SapphFest: A Snowball's Chance in L."

When it comes to Chicago winters, there's no business like snow business, and since we're still in ice-olation, we're going to have ourselves a so gay snow day.

Because why be snowed in when you can be snowed "out"?

"SapphFest: A Snowball's Chance in L" is a virtual variety show presented with L-oquence-though not to the exclusion of other letters in our deliciously queer alphabet soup. This digital celebration will include queer women & non-binary folks, with an inclusive emphasis towards individuals who are BIPOC, people of all abilities, and the non-binary community.

Your performance may consist of singing, dancing, acting, storytelling, stand-up, spoken word, poetry, or a play reading. Each participant will be allotted 8 minutes to perform.

For this edition of SapphFest, we are requesting material that is winsomely wintery and/or holigay-oriented.

'SapphFest: A Snowball's Chance in L" will be presented over Zoom one night only: Friday, January 22, at 7:30 p.m. Central Time. Performers must be available to perform live.

Time Commitment:
Performers will rehearse independently, with the exception of those presenting short plays.
