|Role Name||Gender||Ethnicity||Age Range||Description|
|Valerie||Female||African American||19-25||This twenty-three-year-old writer was born in a protective household. She was born an only child and parents are still happily married. Leaving for college was her introduction to freedom but she kept her values intact and never took things too far. She is reserved at times but bold when she needs to be. Her biggest fear is heartbreak, which she knows is inevitable and is only a matter of time unless she stays in hiding for the rest of her life. She often contemplates her decision that she made, and whether she should be like everyone else or stay true to herself. She loves her friends because they make her life exciting and she feels like they give her real life experiences by forcing her to get out more. Although she has been on plenty of dates, she has never been in a relationship so, she has no clue what she wants out of a man.|
|Sierra||Female||Any||19-25||She is Valerie’s best friend from Marina Del Rey, California. Comes from a upper middle-class family. Very pretty and tall and has mastered the art of finesse. She just floats from job to job with no clear vision of what she wants to do. She is outgoing and knows how to talk her way into anything. She makes sure to give Valerie fashion tips when they go out. She is very kind, but men are her weakness. A man can make her do anything which is her downfall. She genuinely wants Valerie to find love but does not understand her.|
|Ty||Male||Any||19-25||He is from Atlanta. He came to California on a basketball scholarship to USC. He stayed in L.A. after he graduated and became a fitness trainer. He meets Valerie and her friends at a party and is intrigued. Valerie presents herself as a challenge to him and he is determined to break down her walls. His intentions often alter with time because he wants to be patient, but his manhood always tries to take over.|
|Valerie's Mom||Female||African American||45-55||Really cool mom who respects her daughter. Was strict on her when she was younger but lightened as she got older.|
