The Tempest
The Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival has roles open for Prospero, Antonio, Gonzalo and Alonso. In addition we are looking for two, teenage (14-17) young ladies who move well and would play the fairies Isis and Juno. These are non speaking roles with a lot of movement.
This years production is The Tempest, directed by Mark Mc Quown. Also this year the event is moving to a new location and creating a new outdoor performance.
The production opens July 16th and runs Saturdays and Sundays through August 1st at 8:00 pm in Towsley Canyon in Santa Clarita. Rehearsals begin June 21st, Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

The Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival is a newly organized company, founded by David Stears and continuing the 20-year tradition of Shakespeare in the Park, serving the Santa Clarita Valley and the Northern Los Angeles County area.
Preference will be given to local actors within thirty miles of Santa Clarita.
