Description:
We're looking for adult (21+) dancers and movers to bring some joy to the local community, whilst performing safely in public and in line with the latest guidance from Chicago Covid-19 orders.
Performers will dance to a 3-4 minute medley of Halloween-themed Broadway songs, including Beetlejuice, Addams Family, and Rocky Horror.
The flash mob will be socially-distanced and in full-costume with masks. It will be performed in multiple park locations, all within walking distance of Logan Square.
Time Commitment:
Casting workshop via Zoom on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, 7pm-8pm
Weekly rehearsals via Zoom on Tuesdays, 7pm-8pm
Outdoor performances around Logan Square on Saturday, October 31st, 2020, 4pm-6pm.
Material To Prepare:
Come ready to learn a short dance at the casting workshop. At the end of the workshop, there will be an opportunity to be considered for solos or small group parts. Be prepared to show your best moves - kicks/turns/jumps/tricks/etc.
Please note that all cast members must be able to access Zoom via the internet and pay a one-off $15 participation fee to cover project expenses. All profits will be donated to Arts For Illinois.
