Theatre D, a division of the Deerfield Park District, will be holding auditions for its productions of Alone Together Again by Lawrence Roman.

Rehearsals begin the week of January 6. Auditions and rehearsals will be held at Jewett Park Community Center, 836 Jewett Park Drive, Deerfield, IL.

Auditions will be held Sunday, December 1 at 1:00 and Monday, December 2, at 6:00 pm. Callbacks will be Wednesday, December 4, at 7:00 pm.

The humor of aging and the sandwich generation takes center stage in Alone Together Again. Mom and Dad have spent the last thirty years raising three active sons. They looked forward to the peace, the quiet and the privacy of an empty nest. Peace now? Quiet? Not for long. The empty nest fills up again by the sudden, unexpected arrival of their parents, each with a problem which is dumped on Mom and Dad. The hilarity and poignancy comes from attempting to empty the nest once again so Mom and Dad can be alone together again.

Seeking:
GEORGE and HELENA BUTLER: (50's or can pass for 50's) married young, both college educated, California residents, comfortable socio-economically, traditional parents of three sons in their 30's, she was an artist but hasn't painted since the kids were born

FRANK: (turning 80 or can pass for 80), Helena's father, scientific, sold insurance

RUTH: (70'S or can pass for 70's), Helena's mother, outspoken, shops at Neiman's

GRACE: (70'S or can pass for 70's), George's mother, gentle
