Description:
Underscore Theatre is producing Is You Is as a part of the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival Staged Reading Series. A brand-new jazz-driven musical, Is You Is toggles between present-day and the 1930s, exploring the impact of a 1933 Field Museum exhibition that fed false notions about race to millions. We are seeking one more actor to join our cast.
One week of rehearsal, no memorization required.
Role:
Gregor (he/him, tenor or baritone) - A young African-American high school student from 1933. He occasionally appears as a ghost in the contemporary world.
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals February 3-9, 7-10pm
Performance on February 10th
