Description:
The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre located in Conway, Arkansas, seeks actors for its 2020 summer repertory season: As You Like It, Into the Woods, and The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged).
AST is casting all roles for the summer season and actors of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to submit. All actors will be expected to appear in at least two of the three summer rep shows.
AST is a professional Equity theatre operating on a Letter of Agreement to LORT-D. Equity EPAs will be held on Friday, November 15th from 10am to 6pm. Non-equity auditions will be held on Saturday, November 16th from 10am to 6pm by appointment. Both days will take place at the Actors' Equity Member Center in Chicago, 557 W. Randolph St.
Time Commitment:
Actors will be in residence in Conway from May 19-July 12, 2020. Housing is available.
Material To Prepare:
As majority of the company will be in As You Like It and Into the Woods this year, actors should prepare one Shakespeare monologue and 32 bars of a musical theatre piece. An accompanist will be provided.
