Description:
The Make Ready is a reading series that gives playwrights a chance to hear their work read out loud in front of an audience. That's where you come in! Every piece is cast on the evening and given a cold read.
No audition necessary. Just arrive at *6:30pm* and let us know you'd like to be a reader.
Actors of all ages, genders, and ethnicities needed!
We've got a wide variety of pieces featuring everything from an unexpected high school reunion to a non-traditional exorcism to a family confronting their new normal after a devastating loss.
Each piece has 2 to 4 characters so lots of opportunities for actors.
Each piece is about 10 pages long and either a complete play or an excerpt from a play. There'll be 7 or 8 pieces in total. And it's totally free!
