Description:
Filament Theatre seeks one actor for the role of Soledad in their current production of Luna. Actor will cover field trip performances; daytime availability on Tuesdays (10/22 & 10/29) is necessary. Position will begin immediately, joining the team for a rehearsal and observing a performance on Sunday 10/13. Actor begins performances on 10/22. Luna closes on 11/03/19.
All performances take place at Filament Theatre: 4041 N Milwaukee Ave.
Character:
Soledad (f, Latinx)
The daughter of migrant farm workers, Soledad loves the universe and she loves her family. She is intelligent and imaginative, and dreams of being the first woman to visit the moon. Soledad is perpetually the new kid in school, and struggles to make lasting friendships, as her family is constantly moving. Actor must have the ability to connect with and engage an audience of young children. Facilitation and teaching artist experience a plus.
