Description:

Music Theater Works general auditions are an open call for performers over the age of 18 who are interested in our 2020 season which includes Mamma Mia!, Ragtime, Richard Rodgers' Greatest Hits and Billy Elliot. As there is a change in artistic leadership, signing up for a general audition is recommended.

We will also be auditioning for replacements for our December production, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, for specific roles. We will be casting Benjamin, Judah, and Asher.

Audition Dates:
Dance call for the brothers in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: Tues, Oct 8th - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

General Call for 2020 season: Mon, Oct 14th - 6:15 to 10:30 p.m. Tues, Oct 15th - 6:15 to 10:30 p.m. Weds, Oct 16th- 6:15 to 10:30 p.m. Fri, Oct 18th - 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. Mon, Oct 28- 6:15 to 10:30pm Tues, Oct 29- 6:15 to 10:30pm

NEW CASTING POLICY
As members of the creative performing arts community, we all have a role in creating stories that reflect the diversity of the world in which we live. To that end, and in an effort to deliver more diversity on and off-stage, Music Theater Works will, wherever possible, include and engage with diverse thinking and actions in all aspects of the casting process. This includes but is not limited to gender, ethnicity, ability, age, body type and sexual orientation. We welcome all and are actively working toward equity and diversity.

We know we are entering some new territory that may challenge the traditional conventions of auditions, rehearsal and performance for Music Theater Works. We hope to provide the best and most supportive practices as we build a community that seeks to humanize and provide access for ALL.

Character Type/Restrictions:
Tuesday October 8th audition for brothers in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
