Project TitleWhose Body?

Description:

Lifeline Theatre is seeking understudies for their current production of Whose Body?, adapted from the novel by Dorothy L. Sayers by Frances Limoncelli and directed by Jess Hutchinson. This is a non-equity audition. There is pay.

Available roles:

U/S Female Tracks:
Gladys/Lady Levy, Et al: F, any race, 20s-30s.
Gladys Horrocks: Working class, a good girl, if a bit hysterical. Lady Levy: A much loved and respected lady of aristocratic origins who married for love outside of her faith.
This track also includes the following characters: Old Mrs. Thipps, Lady Swaffham, and Slavic Woman.
Duchess of Denver: F, any race, 50s-60s (seeing actors of all ages) Aristocratic, loveable, unintimidating, caring, maternal, loquacious. Like Wimsey she has a sharp mind under her disarmingly dotty exterior.

U/S Parker/Thipps: M, any race. 30s-40s
Inspector Parker: Working class, educated professional. By the book Scotland Yard man. A bright young man with lots of promise. Devil's advocate and right hand to his dear friend Wimsey.
Mr. Thipps: Talented young architect, working class, socially awkward, naïve, a bachelor, bit of a momma's boy. Works hard to speak and act properly and above his humble origins. A throwback to the good Victorian Brit, he has integrity and sticks fiercely to his moral code. A suspect.

U/S Dr. Freke: M, any race. 50s-60s (Seeing actors of all ages)
Dr Julian Freke: Aristocrat, famous neurologist, brilliant mind with no morality, we see many faces of Freke before he is revealed to be a perversion of brilliance. He and Wimsey respect each other's skills although they represent opposites. A suspect.
This track also includes the following characters: Body, Bill WIlliams, and Cummings.

Auditions will be held at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Greenview Ave. on Wednesday, August 21st from 11:00pm-3:00pm, and Friday, August 23rd from 6:00pm-10:00pm.
