Corn Productions (non-equity) is seeking actors for their upcoming Halloween productions of Nightmares on Lincoln Avenue and Death Toll: A Halloween Drinking Game. We invite actors of all gender identity, ethnicity, creed, and race to audition for one or both of these shows.
Nightmares on Lincoln Avenue: is horror/slasher/comedy that will follow the children of legendary movie killers through their first days at boarding school. Will Murder 101 prepare them though, when a serial killer starts killing serial killers on campus? Casting all roles, including ensemble that will play multiple roles.
Death Toll a Drinking Game Performance: is an hour long Halloween themed variety and sketch show celebrating all things spooky! Death Toll is a highly successful show, running for 13 seasons in front of consistently sold out audiences. Seeking many different types of performers - puppeteers, sketch comedy, stand-up comedy, non-aerial circus, and more
Auditions will take place on Monday, August 19th, and Tuesday August 20th from 7-10pm with 5 minute audition slots. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, August 21st from 7-10pm. Auditions will be held at Cornservatory: 4210 N Lincoln Ave Chicago, IL 60618
Time Commitment:
Nightmares on Lincoln Avenue is Corn Productions main-stage show for Halloween 2019. Rehearsals will begin August 26th and will typically be Monday-Wednesday evenings from 7-10PM, with some weekend rehearsals. Performances will take place Thursday-Saturday at 8pm from October 3rd, through November 2nd.
Death Toll a Drinking Game Performance is Corn Productions late-night show for Halloween 2019. Rehearsals will begin September 7th and will typically be Saturday/ Sundays from 1-5PM, with some weekday evenings rehearsals during tech. Performances will take place Friday and Saturday nights at 11PM from October 11th, through November 1st with a special performance on Halloween.
Material To Prepare:
Please prepare one 1-minute monologue - preferably dark comedy/absurd/horror/Halloween themed. Please bring a headshot/resume.
