North Riverside Players announces auditions for the Kaufman and Hart comedy The Man Who Came To Dinner. Large cast needed (15M, 9 W + extras).
THE STORY: Sheridan Whiteside, having dined at the home of the Stanleys, slips on their doorstep, breaking his hip. A tumultuous six weeks of confinement follow. The Stanley living room is monopolized by the irascible invalid; ex-convicts are invited to meals; and transatlantic calls bring a $784 phone bill. The arrival of strange gifts from his friends further destroys domestic tranquility. It would take a stoical housewife to harbor penguins in her library, an octopus in her cellar, and 10,000 cockroaches in her kitchen.
Auditions will be held at North Riverside Scheck Village Commons, 2401 S Des Plaines Ave, North Riverside
Time Commitment:
Rehearsals: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
Actors are only scheduled for the days they are needed. Bring your conflicts to include on the audition/conflict form.
Performance Dates are October 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 (Fri/Sat 7:30 and Sun 2:30)
Tech Week is October 6 - 10 (no conflicts allowed)
