Gallery Theater of West Chicago will hold auditions for The Man with Bogart's Face by Andrew J Fenady, directed by Gail Cannata.

Remember the good old days of radio-when people had to use their imaginations-when the mind was a stage? Those days are back-only better because you can SEE as well as HEAR radio programs. A man whose identity we never know has his face altered to look like Humphrey Bogart and is involved in a Maltese Falcon-type caper-like the old days when there were causes and dames and flags worth fighting for. And LAUGHS. Lots of LAUGHS. "a fast-moving story with action and staccato dialogue that literally bring Bogart to life.

Characters:

Announcer, Hostess, Dr. Inman, Sam Marlow, Duchess, Mother, Elsa Borsht, Buster, Nero's Uncle,

Horst Borsht, Able (a reporter), Baker (a reporter), Charlene (a reporter), Lt. Marion Bumbera,

Sgt. Horace Hacksaw, Gena Anastas, Petey Cane, Jock, Commodore Alexander Anastas, Mr. Zebra,

Nicky Karamavrakinopoulos, Cynthia Ashley, Mustafa Hakim, Wolf Zinderneuf

This is an old - time radio show format so we will want to see your versatility with character voices. The audience will have to know you've changed characters just by hearing your voice, so show us what you can do vocally.

Auditions will be held at 129 Main St, West Chicago 60185.

GALLERY THEATER IS IN THE CITY OF WEST CHICAGO 60185, NOT CHICAGO, check your GPS for location BEFORE scheduling your audition. Metra station is approximately 2 blocks from the theater.

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals begin immediately upon being cast based on cast availability.

The play runs two weekends: September 20,21,22 & 27,28,29.


Material To Prepare:
Monologues not required. Audition sides from the script will be provided when audition appointment is confirmed. Walk-ins welcomed as time permits.
