Hello, I am Pablo Nicolas Raganato, a film student at the Miami Dade College (North Campus). I am currently in the Bachelor's program in Film, TV and Digital Production. This semester my film "The Violinist" has been selected by the film faculty and film commission of Miami to be produced at the college. This is the thesis of the Bachelor's program in Film, and the movie will be screen at the North Campus on April, 2013 when is finished. Also it will me submitted to the Miami International Film Festival, as well as other international film festivals around the world.
Now we are in the process of pre-production and we are currently casting actors and violists that are interested to play a role in the film.

The short film is 20' drama rated G (General public), and it's about a 10 year old kid that loves classical music and wants to play the violin like his grandfather, an unsuccessful violinist; but his father forbids it because he doesn't want to pursue the same life that his grandfather did; the life of an artist following his dreams. Those actors have to be available to shoot during 4 days. Thursday Nov. 29th to Sunday Dec. 2nd.

Besides the actors we are also casting kids (9-12) that can play the violin, and old men (60+) that also can play the violin to be part of the film.

The shooting locations are Tropical Park, the William Lehman Theater at MDC (North Campus), and a house in South Beach. We will provide catering for the talents on set. People that are selected will be also in the credits of the film and will get a copy of the DVD that will be released on April, 2013.
