Description:

The 2nd Act Players will be holding auditions Saturday, July 20th for its fall production of Joe Simonelli's "Old Ringers," a humorous look at coping with the financial strains that come up in our senior years.

Auditions will take place from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2515 Central Park Avenue, Evanston, where the 2nd Act Players also perform. Roles we will be auditioning for are:

DIANE
50-65. Female. Retired mother of Amanda. Imaginative, crafty, leader of the pack. She is a risk-taker and very comfortable with sexual-side. Any race or ethnicity.

ROSE
65+. Female. Bad hip from replacement. Former smoker. Wise elder of the group. At the sunset of her life. Any race or ethnicity.

VERNA
45-60. Female. Trampy and loose. Tries to look younger than she is by dressing provocatively. A light-hearted jokester. Any race or ethnicity.

KATHY ANN
45-65 Female. Sweet and Naïve. Spacey and reserved. She has a hidden wild and sexual side. Any race or ethnicity.

AMANDA
25-35. Female. Daughter of Diane. Hyper-righteous and judgmental of others. Sticks to her guns and up for a challenge. Competitive and domineering. Any race of ethnicity.

Those coming to audition should prepare one comedic monologue no longer than one minute as well as a celebrity impression. Sides will be provided for a cold reading as well.

The 2nd Act Players encourages actors of any race, gender expression, or sexual identity to audition. This production contains some light sexual content and language.
