SYNOPSIS

This fantasy-drama centers on a prominent business tycoon who has everything. The play shows how a seemingly insignificant choice can take a person’s life in an entirely different direction and how deeply our decisions affect the people who love us.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

JEREMY BYRNES / LEAD / MALE / 28-40
A prominent business tycoon. As the story is told through Jeremy’s eyes, he carries the play and is on stage continuously. Jeremy is hard-working, charming, confident yet vulnerable, married to a woman he adores, nervous around children, at a crossroads in his life, unfulfilled, seeking for answers. Must be empathetic from the start for the audience to be pulling for him.

AUDITIONS Open auditions will be held Saturday, August 18th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Christian

Performing Arts Centre, 1536 The Queensway, Room 110. Please bring a resume & headshot. *** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A NON-UNION, NON-PAYING ROLE ***
What to prepare: A short 1-2 minute monologue of your choice. Sides will be provided at the audition for cold reads.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Rehearsals will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm – 10:00pm. Lead actors are required to attend every rehearsal; supporting/featured actors are required to attend when their characters are included in the scene(s) being rehearsed. Please be aware that there is a possibility of additional rehearsals being called if the need arises.

*** PLEASE NOTE *** 1) There will be no rehearsal on Monday, September 3rd (Labour Day) 2) You will be required all day on Friday, September 21, 2012 for a tech/dress rehearsal
