Promethean Theatre Ensemble is seeking adult actors of all types and ages, especially who play instruments and sing, for its winter production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht, directed by Ed Rutherford with original music composed by Matt Kahler, to be performed at City Lit Theater (1020 W Bryn Mawr Avenue). Small stipend.
Auditions will take place Sunday August 5 from 12-4 pm and Tuesday August 7 6:30-10 pm, with callbacks on Saturday August 11 3:30-6 pm.
At this time we are not seeking any actors under 18 years of age.
Time Commitment:
January 11 through February 10, 2013. Rehearsals start after November 26; no rehearsal will be scheduled December 21-26 or December 31-January 1.
Material To Prepare:
Please prepare one two-minute monologue or story; can be comedic or dramatic and in any style or period, as well as involving movement if you choose. Those called back will be asked prepare sides as well as singing/playing instruments in which they are proficient.
