Description:


Odd's Bodkins announces auditions for Macbeth in the Inferno.

A retelling of the familiar Macbeth, set in the man's own private circle of Hell, this production is reframed using supplementary inserts from Dante's Divine Comedy.

Queer, trans, and non-binary actors and actors of color are strongly encouraged to audition. This production will include music performed by cast members. Please note, Odd's Bodkins is an ensemble-driven company and some roles have been pre-filled by ensemble members. As such, we are casting only the following roles:

Macbeth: male identifying or non-binary actors preferred, unarmed/knife combat experience required

Malcolm/Fleance/Macduff Child: unarmed combat experience preferred

Duncan/Porter/Siward: male identifying or non-binary actors preferred

Lennox/First Murderer/Young Siward: unarmed/knife combat experience required

Ross/Second Murderer/Doctor: unarmed/knife combat experience required

Angus/Lady Macduff/Doctor: female identifying or non-binary actors preferred

Two Weird Sisters: female identifying or non-binary actors preferred

Auditions will take place Tuesday, July 2nd at Barrel of Monkeys (4021 N Broadway) from 7:00-9:30.

Callbacks will take place Wednesday, July 3rd from 7:00-9:30.

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals will take place 2-3 times per week, (Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons) starting August 3rd. Tech rehearsal will be October 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, and 17th.

Performances will be October 18th, 19th, 20th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 31st.


Material To Prepare:
Please prepare a 60-90 second verse monologue not from Macbeth.
