Description:
As part of a class exercise we will be filming a scene taken from a
feature film currently being developed.
Auditions will be held Friday 20th April at the Royal Holloway Building on
Gower Street near Bedford Square. More details provided on expression of
interest.
Shoot day will either be May 9, 10, or 11. Shooting will take place in the
Studio at the Royal Holloway campus in Egham, Surrey. Unfortunately these
dates are not flexible so please only apply if you can make both the
audition and all the potential shoot dates.
Reasonable expenses will be paid and catering provided. In addition to
this we will give you a copy of the final scene for your showreel.
Born is a contemporary retelling of the Biblical Nativity story.
The scene we will be filming is a 3 minute scene which takes place in a
flat of a black Christian family living in east London.
It will show the main character Aziza confessing to her parents that she
is pregnant. Following the theme of the nativity Aziza tries to explain to
them that she is also still a virgin.Requires a strong dramatic
performance.
