Description:
Fresh out of college, Eddy wanted a career in photojournalism, but what he got was taking pictures of tourists in the nation's 27th best theme park. Among the rides and food are the characters and the photographers, the servers and the rides crew. This is their story.
Breakdown:
Role Name | Gender | Ethnicity | Age Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Eddy | Male | Any | 19-25 | Edward “Eddy” Van Halen - Fresh out of college and deeply in student loan debt, Eddy dreamed of a job in photojournalism, what he got was taking pictures of tourists in the nation’s 27th best theme park, but even this job isn’t what it seems. Born to a broken home, Eddy was abandoned by his abusive mother and raised by an alcoholic father who is in a constant struggle to stay on the wagon. He keeps his personal tribulations close to the chest as he begins to befriend a few of the many interesting people that work around him. Although this job and his new Boss, Richard, seem hellbent to destroy any dreams he may have, Eddy can’t help but feel there is “Something” here worth fighting for at the Funland Theme Park. |
Harvey | Male | Any | 35-45 | Harvey Michael Green - Harvey is a man who lives outside your expectations, his dreams, over time, have been “adjusted”, but are very much still alive in his work. His early days at the Funland Theme Park are filled with great memories hidden within the nostalgia of the time. The bulk of his work these days, in his eyes, is to maintain the soul of the one place that gave him a chance to find his love and live his dream. A soul constantly under threat by his former best friend, Richard, head of the photography department. Harvey rarely, if ever, speaks of his family. |
Alice | Female | Any | 19-25 | Alice Ana Diaz - Alice doesn’t care what you think, but don’t think that she doesn’t care. Born to loving parents, her mother died when she was 13, leaving her and her father to care for her younger brother and sister, both now about to graduate high school. Her father, an illegal immigrant, was recently deported to Mexico, a place he has never known, this has propelled Alice to study Immigration Law so that one day she may see his return to the states. She is a very talent artist, often illustrating some of her favorite characters from the many comic books she enjoys reading. |
Charlie | Male | Caucasian | 25-35 | Charles “Charlie” Xavier Henderson - Charlie had a relatively normal upbringing, outside of a fanboy father who insisted on naming him Charles Xavier, a name he takes great lengths to keep on the down low. He talks of being a rampant narcissist at times, but inside he prides himself on being a strong “mother” figure to those around him. He knows how to let loose from time to time and works to teach those around him to let off steam. Although he has not admitted it openly to those around him or even himself, Charlie often struggles with his gender identity. |
Richard | Male | Any | 35-45 | Richard Peter Palmer - Richard was once a dreamer, wide-eyed and open to the world, he has worked at Funland Theme Parks for quite some time and in that time, for reasons unknown, his dream has wilted and died. At some point Richard realized numbers and profits afforded you position and power, he traded his dream for security, his ethics for a renewed ambition. Work “friends” were no longer a part of the equation, you either work for him, or against him. No one knows his middle name is Peter. |
Mark | Male | Any | 20-30 | Mark Allen Smith – A photographer of the photography department, Mark was an impressionable young man when he started working under Richard’s guidance, molded and shaped into a key example of what Richard can do with a weak mind. Mark lacks a sense of self identity, hopelessly devoted to his boss and idol. |
