Description:
The Artistic Home is seeking understudies for Lauren Gunderson's Ada and The Engine directed by Monica Payne.
There is a stipend plus a per-show payment if you perform.
Understudies are expected to be offbook and know all blocking by first preview. Understudy rehearsals begin the weekend after opening and usually occur on Sundays before the 3 p.m. matinee.
All rehearsals and shows take place at The Artistic Home, 1376 W. Grand, Chicago, IL.
Seeking:
Ada Lovelace Byron (u/s): female-identifying, all ethnicities, 20s, British dialect. Must be comfortable singing.
Lovelace/Byron (u/s): male-identifying, all ethnicities, late 20s-late 30s. Actor will cover both roles. British dialect. Must comfortable singing for Byron.
Charles Babbage (u/s): male-identifying, all ethnicities, 50s. British dialect. Must be comfortable singing.
