Citadel Theatre announces its Season General auditions for its exciting 2019-2020 season. The season includes:
PETER AND THE STARCATCHER by Rick Elice, directed by Jeremy Aluma(September 18-October 20, 2019)
ANNIE by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, directed by Robert D. Estrin (November 20-December 22, 2019)
THE FANTASTICKS by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, directed by Pat Murphy (February 5-March 8, 2020)
BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS by Neil Simon, directed by Scott Phelps (April 22-May 24, 2020)
Theatre for Young Audiences:
WINNIE THE POOH by Richard M. Sherman, Robert B. Sherman, Robert Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Will van Dyke, and Cheryl Davis, directed by Gregg Dennhardt (mid-October, 2019) (Theatre for Young Audiences)

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD ON:
Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Raven Theatre, 6157 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60660.
Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Citadel Theatre, 300 S Waukegan Rd, Lake Forest IL 60045.

FYI: All shows will also have a show-specific casting call. A casting notice for each show will be posted close to the audition date(s). For details, see the link at the end of this notice.
IMPORTANT: Auditions for the roles of Annie and the Orphans in Annie will be held on June 15, 2019 at Citadel Theatre in Lake Forest.
PLEASE NOTE: The part of Miss Hannigan in Annie has been cast. We will be auditioning for a Hannigan understudy who will also be a member of the ensemble.
NOTE: All mainstage performances will be held at Citadel Theatre in Lake Forest. The TYA will be performed in Lake Forest at a venue TBA.
Material To Prepare:
For your audition please prepare the following:
-If interested in the plays ONLY, one (1) contemporary comic monologue not to exceed 90 seconds. No classical or dramatic monologues, please.
-If interested in the entire season or ONLY the musicals/TYA, one (1) contemporary comic monologue not to exceed 60 seconds, no classical or dramatic monologues, please, and 16-bars of a traditional musical theatre song. Please do not audition with a selection from either The Fantasticks or Annie. No rock, please. An accompanist will be provided. Please have your music marked for the accompanist. A cappella singing will not be allowed.
