DEEP RED is looking to round out its cast with the primary villain, TRUDELL.
Trudell is an African-American thrill killer and a charming manipulator. His candor is childlike and spacey, from another planet and disarming to the average person. But underneath he's a man with undeniable abhorrent impulses and the drive and willpower to carry them out. Jekyll and Hyde. You'd never think he was a threat, but when no one's watching he'll drive across state lines to satisfy his sadosexual cravings all the while smiling and daydreaming.
-This character responds to violence like a SCIENTIST, fascinated by bloodletting.
-This character comes off crazy, but a funny, amusing, endearing, kind of crazy. Think TRACY MORGAN.
-This character is an expert at keeping secrets and appearing innocent by way of being low or naive.
-This character is a survivor, both of childhood rape and prison/street violence.
-This character does not adhere to social norms, does not over analyze, and does not feel guilty about who he is.
-This character is an entertainer in the day time and a hunter by night. He is not conflicted about his desires. He does not question them. He merely satisfies them.
The ideal actor would be African-American, mid twenties to early thirties who is comfortable portraying violent characters with destructive impulses. The ideal actor would also need to be comfortable with sexual content. No nudity required.
