Info about Animation:
Cthulhu is very loosely based on the original mythology and the fantasy genre as a whole. It is basically taking some icons of fantasy and placing them into a 'school yard' scenario.
The intention is to show that the 'Beautiful' fantasy creatures, Unicorn and fairy Princess, aren't as benevolent as they are always portrayed to be. And that the 'Ugly' and 'Terrifying' monsters like Cthulhu and the Kraken are actually really good-natured on the inside and just want a place to belong.
